| Advantages of CALDsoft7 in comparison to CALDsoft6 | ||
| Greater number of parts | ||
The CALDsoft7 posses, besides new tools, a greater number of parts, increasing the possibility of containing all the calculations the user may desire. |
To see all the pre-determined parts calculated by CALDsoft7, click in the image above.
| User Dimensions | ||
The CALDsoft7 posses a new method of dimensioning, besides the one presented in the previous version (only pre-determined could be printed). Different types of dimensions were implemented: the linear dimensions (types 1, 2 and aligned) and the Angle dimensions.

Angle dimensions
The CALDsoft7 dimensions can also be exported (DXF and DWG) alongside the new unfold, however, they will be exported in a different layer allowing the user to easily deactivate them.
| Joint Position Change | ||
The CALDsoft7 allows the user to change the Joint point of the unfold, which, can be settled in any bending line.
| Divide Unfold | ||
It was also included the possibility to divide the unfold into two or more parts just by clicking. With that the user will have a greater autonomy when producing his own parts.
Divided Unfold*
*1: Unfold divided in one part; 2: In two parts; 3: In four parts.
| Add Border | ||
The CALDsoft7 allows the user to add borders in the size desired, in his unfold, being able to be done individually (one after another) or automatically (all the welding lines will posses borders).
| Costs Optimization | ||
The CALDsoft7 automatically finds the lowest cost for the production of the part, with assistance of a detailed costs table (Welding, cutting, assembling and so forth), helping to reduce the costs without losing not even a minute. Below there is an example of an optimized unfold: |
Higher Cost
Notice that in the figure above, the size of the welding will be 1219,57mm while in the optimized (figure below) the size of the welding will be 486,4mm (a reduction of 67%). A smallest sheet in the second case also had a decrease in the cost (of 27%)
Lesser Cost
| Flex | ||
The Flex module has become even more flexible, allowing the user, aside of unfolding any transition, also to unfold any intersection between two transitions. It was also changed the Lisp routine, which imported the points from AutoCAD, now it is no longer necessary to capture point by point, but to use Polylines when drawing the “mouths” and later import the entire edge. In resume, aside of the improvement in quality, the tool has also become of easier use. To see examples of calculations using the Flex module, click here.

| Revolve | ||
The new CALDsoft’s module allows the user to revolutionize, through the central axis, a shape drawn in the tool itself or even is some CAD program. To see examples of calculations using the Revolve module click here. |
